This program on Channel 6 in Indianapolis features a story on the role cover crops can play in curbing algae blooms: http://www.theindychannel.com/video/30950038/index.html.
The person interviewed claims that cover crops have increased 400-500% in the last five years. I noticed that they mostly mentioned using cover crops with soybeans and so the claims about increase in yields are probably sound. It is nice to see cover crops featured in local news story. Maybe we can get one of the Des Moines stations to do a similar article in Iowa.
Check out the story and let us know what you think.
