This month’s presenter, Dan Barker, is an Iowa State University assistant scientist in the agronomy department. He will discuss nitrogen sensing technology. He will share research field trials and on-farm demonstrations that use remote sensing technologies to vary the application of nitrogen fertilizer in corn. He will discuss total amounts of nitrogen fertilizer applied, efficiency of nitrogen rates and timings, and yield benefits with these nitrogen sensors.
The webinar is part of a monthly free series sponsored by Iowa Learning Farms. The ILF webinars are usually held on the third Wednesday of each month. To participate, log on at: https://connect.extension.iastate.edu/ilf/ at 11:30 on Wednesday, March 20.
Dan will be able to answer questions from webinar participants through the Adobe Connect chat window.
If you can’t participate live, you can log on to the ILF website to see the recorded presentation. All the ILF webinars are archived here too: http://www.extension.iastate.edu/ilf/Webinars/.
See you next Wednesday!
