We are happy to welcome E. Britt Moore to our Iowa Learning Farms team. Britt will be helping manage our various cover crop projects as well as engaging in youth outreach and education.
An adopted Iowan, originally from Chicago, Britt self-identifies as a conservationist and a biologist. Britt is an 2012 Iowa State University graduate, with M.S. in Crop Production & Physiology and Sustainable Agriculture. His areas of interests include cover cropping, conservation tillage, soil organic matter dynamics, and youth environmental education. With Tom Kaspar as his faculty advisor, Britt’s scientific work has focused mainly on cover crop influences on soil properties. Britt also has a passion for youth education and worked as a high school science teacher in Jacksonville, FL, after graduating from ISU. Other interests include nature photography and travel, passions acquired after residing in Australia and New Zealand.
