Dr. Ajay Nair Shares the Benefits of Oilseed Radish Cover Crops

Ajay Nair, assistant professor and Extension vegetable specialist at Iowa State University, has released a new video highlighting the growth, benefits and morphology of oilseed radish in vegetable production.  Oilseed radish has biofumigation properties that can be helpful in suppressing weeds and fungal pathogens, and can be a great addition to any vegetable production system. Check out the great video below.

 

The video was created as part of a the SARE-PDP grant (ENC12-132), and there are plans for future videos including a feature on sorghum sudangrass cover crop.
