It has been almost a year since we visited some of the conservation work my family has done over the years. I wanted to share a quick update on one of the projects that was just starting at the time – an oxbow restoration.
Working with the Iowa Nature Conservancy, my family has restored an old oxbow that had been filled with sediment near some of our farm land in Wright County. I had an opportunity to visit this fall to spend the morning there and wanted to share a short video.
I would also recommend watching the next video to take a more in-depth look at the efforts within the Boone River Watershed.
